McIntyres to celebrate 50th wedding anniversary

James and Shirley McIntyre will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary September 1, 2006. They were married in Lawton, Oklahoma in 1956.
The couple met at Hollies Drive-In in Oklahoma City when James jokingly introduced himself to Shirley as Tom from Tuttle. He lived in Oklahoma City at the time and never dreamed he would actually live in Tuttle, but they did.
The McIntyres, former Tuttle residents, have retired in Kingston, Okla. at Lake Texoma. James is a retired Oklahoma City Firefighter and Shirley worked for Tuttle schools in the high school snack bar for thirteen years.
They have two children and five grandchildren. Their daughter Kerri and husband Kreg Stockstill and their children Kody and Kayci Stockstill live in Tuttle. Their son Bret McIntyre and wife Martha and children Lauren, Cale, and Blake McIntyre live in Norman.
