To the editor:
I was shopping the other day and asked the cashier, if she was going to vote for the upcoming library issue. She responded, "Who wouldn't vote for a library?"
My question exactly! I did not live here, the last time this issue was put before the people of Grady County for a vote. It did not pass. This time, it will be voted on by only the residents of Tuttle so, if you want a library, here 's your chance. But it may not pass if we don't show some excitement, get involved and talk it up, in a positive manner. Ask people you meet, if they plan on voting for the library.
The members of the library committee and our city council have had meeting after meeting discussing, trying to work out details and put together a plan that would meet Tuttle's needs.
Please don't let this turn out to be wasted time and energy. There will be a meeting at City Hall on Monday, Oct. 13, 6:30 pm. If you're curious, interested or need more information on the topic, come on out.
Unfortunately, I have a scheduling conflict and can't attend. I hope you will take my place.
Linda Piel,
Tuttle
