Little League sign-ups set



Additional sign ups for little league baseball will be held Saturday, Feb. 6, from 9 a.m. to noon at the middle school gym.



Science Fair Feb. 18



The second Annual Tuttle PTO Junior Science Fair will be held Thursday, Feb. 18 at 6:30 p.m. at the Tuttle Elementary School. Science is all around us, and kids are naturally curious. The goal of the Jr. Science Fair is to promote and encourage young minds to explore the world around them, ask questions, and research new answers. Come support this fundraiser for the Tuttle PTO.



Rangerettes host cook-off



The Canadian Valley Rangerettes’ second annual Chili Cook Off will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 20 in the Mustang Community Center in Mustang. Advance tickets are $5 and may be purchased by calling 405-641-9474. Tickets are $7 at the door. Children 6 and under are free. Proceeds benefit the Canadian Valley Rangerettes All Woman Drill Team.



Market meeting set



The Tuttle Farmers Market will have its first informational meeting on Feb. 16 at 6 p.m. in the Tuttle First Baptist Church Family Life Center. Anyone who is interested in selling fresh fruits, vegetables, processed foods and/or crafts is encouraged to come. Care Center sets cook-off



 Join us for our first annual Chili Cook-off on Friday, Feb. 26 at 2 p.m. Call Barbara or Debbie at 381-3363 to enter by Feb. 19. There is no entry fee. Bring your award-winning chili in a crock-pot and residents will judge and pick a winner. If you win, you will earn bragging rights for a year and a small gift card. Please come support our community efforts.

 You are welcome to come join us for Family Bingo night, too on Tuesday, Feb. 16 at 6:30 p.m.

 

Fundraiser rescheduled



The Tuttle Middle School History Club fundraiser dinner that was scheduled for Jan. 30 has been postponed to Monday, Feb. 8 before the high school homecoming basketball game. For those who previously purchased tickets, please keep them as they will be honored at the Feb. 8 dinner. The fundraiser is to raise money for a trip to Washington D.C. Dinner will be served from 5-7 p.m. The meal, provided by Carino’s, will include baked penne / chicken fettuccine alfredo with salad, garlic bread, tea or lemonade and dessert. Banquet rescheduled



The new date for the Tuttle Varsity Football Banquet is Sunday, Feb. 14 at 2 p.m. in the elementary school cafeteria.



Valentine Banquet set



The First Assembly of God Family Life Center will host a Valentine’s Day banquet catered by Carino’s at 6 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 13. Special entertainment and music will be provided by Larry DeLawder. Tickets are $10. Call 381-3342.



Church plans banquet



Ridgecrest Baptist Church is hosting a Valentines Banquet on Sunday, Feb. 14. All adults are invited to attend. The banquet will be at 6 p.m. Dinner will be catered by Ted’s Escondido. The cost will be $15 per person which includes dinner, drink, dessert, child care and fun and games. You must reserve and pay by Wednesday, Feb. 10 in order to give us time to order the food and arrange enough child care. We do have limited space in the child care area, so get your space reserved soon. Register by mailing in your payment to 1118 S. Sara Road, Blanchard, OK, 73010 or drop it by the church office. You may call 387-2811 to make sure someone is available. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to call. Ridgecrest is located four miles south of Hwy 37 on Sara Road.



Dodge ball tournament set



The Tuttle Baseball Booster Club is holding a dodge ball tournament on Saturday, Feb. 6 at the middle school gym in Tuttle. Sign in starts at 3 p.m. Teams of all ages are welcome to attend. Alzheimer’s group meets



If you would like to learn more about Alzheimer's please join Barbara Hembree on the third Tuesday of every month to learn and discuss your questions about Alzheimer's. If you have any questions call Debbie McQuade or Barbara Hembree at 381-3363.



Auction set at game

 

The THS Parent Association will be conducting an auction during the February 8th Homecoming basketball games to raise money for the Tuttle After Prom.  Items to be auctioned will include OU and OSU gift baskets and sports memorabilia together with autographed players' pictures and footballs.  The feature item for the auction will be a football autographed by all four of the Heisman Trophy winners from OU.  Please come and bid on a piece of history and support the Tuttle After Prom.



Lodge celebrates 100 years



On Saturday, Feb. 13, the Tuttle Masonic Lodge will celebrate its 100th anniversary at the Tuttle Senior Citizen's Center. Cornerstoe presentation at 11:30 a.m. Starting at 1 p.m. 150 people are expected. for finger foods and snacks. 



Tax help available



The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance, or VITA, will offer free tax help to low- to moderate-income (generally, $49,000 and below) people who cannot prepare their own federal and Oklahoma tax returns. IRS certified volunteers, sponsored by various organizations, have been trained to help prepare basic tax returns in communities across the country. The VITA site in Grady County is Epworth United Methodist Church. located at 4th & Iowa in Chickasha. This site will open Jan. 29 and will run through April 15.
