Tuttle to get ag student teacher

High school agricultural education students will see a new face Feb. 8 when a student teacher is introduced to their classroom.

Tanner Thompson, an agricultural education senior from Oklahoma State University, will student teach this spring at Tuttle High School under the supervision of C. L. McGill.

During the 12-week experience, Thompson will teach classes, be involved with FFA activities and assist with supervised agricultural experiences.  Thompson says he is looking forward to the 12-week experience.

“I know the Tuttle FFA chapter is very active and successful in not only livestock exhibition but in various career development events and other FFA activities,” Thompson said. “I’m excited about the opportunity to student teach at a premier program in Oklahoma.”

Throughout high school in Tecumseh, Thompson was active in his FFA chapter as he showed sheep and swine, was on the livestock judging team, presented speeches and participated in many leadership activities. At OSU, he has been involved in Collegiate FFA, Relay for Life and his social and professional fraternity.

“I look forward to meeting and getting to know students and people within the community, and know it’s going to be a great learning experience,” Thompson said,
