As always, the softball season will kick off with the annual alumni game. This yearly event is scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 9, at 7 p.m. at Lady Tigers Stadium. This annual event pits the current softball players against the former players who have passed this way before. Come meet the 2008 Lady Tigers Softball players and watch the “old” players take them on and show them how it is done! Also be sure and wish luck to the 2008 graduates who will be moving on the next level of competition: Whitney Cummings (Tennessee Tech), Katie Turner (Southern Nazarene University), Sara Harwell (Southwestern Oklahoma State University), and Cassie Chambless (Southwestern Oklahoma State University). This is also the night that supporters are encouraged to join the Tuttle Lady Tigers Softball Booster Club. A short meeting of the boosters will be held immediately following the game.

The following week, the Lady Tigers will be in full swing as they begin the 2008 softball season. On Monday, Aug. 11, Tuttle will be hosting a scrimmage festival at our home stadium. Game times for the Lady Tigers are 10 a.m., 2:30 p.m., 5:30 p.m., and 7:30 p.m. Other teams participating in the festival include Edmond Memorial, Piedmont, Edmond Santa Fe, Elgin, Putnam City North, Chickasha, Washington, Choctaw, and Southmoore.

At the end of the week, the annual Chisholm Trail Tournament hosted by Tuttle will be held at Lady Tigers Stadium in Tuttle and Reaves Park in Norman. On Thursday, Aug. 14, the varsity squad will be playing at Reaves Park in Norman at 12:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m.. The junior varsity squad will be playing at home in Tuttle at 12:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. On Friday, Aug. 15, both squads will be playing at Reaves Park in Norman with the varsity taking the field at 4 p.m. and 7 p.m., and the junior varsity at 5:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. On Saturday, both teams will be back at Reaves Park and playing at 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. (varsity), and 5:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. (junior varsity).

On Tuesday, August 19, the Lady Tigers will be meeting up with the Newcastle Lady Racers at Lady Tigers Stadium. On that occasion, you will be able to see all three softball teams in action as the junior high will play at 5 p.m., varsity at 6 p.m., and junior varsity at 8 p.m..

Come support your Lady Tigers as they take to the field in the quest of another winning season!
