Girls basketball sets fundraiser

The first annual Tuttle Girls Basketball Tailgate fundraiser will be held Thursday, Oct. 16 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Snow Hill Baptist Church’s east gravel parking lot. Tickets are $5 and are available from any girls basketball team member or contact Coach Vick at the high school gym at 405-381-5050. The menu will consist of hamburgers and all the trimmings. Come out and support the Tuttle Girls Basketball Program and then caravan with us to Newcastle as our Tuttle Tiger football team takes on our Tri-City rival, the Racers.  The Tuttle Basketball Booster Club will meet on Sunday, Oct. 12 at 2 p.m. at the high school gym. Please come out and find out how you can help support Tuttle Tiger Basketball this year. Cub Scout pack

selling popcorn

Cub Scout Pack 338 is selling a variety of popcorn. The popcorn benefits the scouting program. It is their once a year fundraiser. Please buy some popcorn from the pack, it would be greatly appreciated.



Crafts show set for November

The Celebration of Crafts Show will be held Friday, Nov. 14 from 10 a.m.to 6 p.m. and Saturday, Nov. 15 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the north building of the Grady County Fairgrounds in Chickasha. The “We’ve Got you Covered” quilt exhibit will be held in conjunction with the craft show.



Fall lease auctions

start on Oct. 20

The 26th annual School Land Trust lease auctions will begin Oct. 20 in Beaver County and conclude Nov. 4 in Shawnee. The auctions will include a total of 559 leases in 34 counties. On Oct. 28, leases in Comanche, Harmon, Stephens, Cotton, Jefferson and Grady Counties will be auctioned at the Great Plains Tech Center in Lawton at 10 a.m. Most leases are for a term of five years.
