Barrrel race to aid cancer victim
Barrels and Buckles for Breast Cancer, a 5-D barrel race to raise funds to benffit Tony Fry of Jones, will be held Saturday, Oct. 24 beginning at noon at the 7X Arena off of Hwy 152 in Mustang. No pre-registration is necessary, you may enter the day of the race.
Basketball Boosters to meet
The Tuttle Basketball Booster Club will meet on Oct. 25 at 3 p.m. in the high school gym lobby.
Garage sale to benefit church
On Saturday, Oct. 24 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., there will be a huge garage sale to benefit Woodland Hills Baptist Church. The sale will be held at 9ll Collision Works, at 3608 Del Rex in Newcastle, west of Highway 76 on Highway 37, north on Gary Dr.
Open House set for Blanchard Area Catholics
A Wine and Cheese Open House is scheduled for 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Oct. 28 for all Catholics in the Blanchard, Tuttle, Middleberg, Dibble, Alex and other nearby areas. The Open House is open to all area Catholics already members of a Catholic Church, or anyone looking for a Catholic Church to join. Father Jim Goins of Chickasha will be present to answer any questions anyone may have about the church. Call 405-485-2707 for more details.
Haunted Hall to benefit historical society
The Haunted Hall, 114 W. Broadway in Blanchard (the old city hall building) will be open Thursday-Saturday, Oct. 22-24 and Thursday and Friday, Oct. 29-30 from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Admission is $5 for all ages. Proceeds go to the Blanchard Historical Society.
