Danny Lee McKinney

Danny Lee McKinney was born July 18, 1951 to Tessie Eades and John McKinney. He died on Wednesday, Jan. 20, 2010.

He was the last of seven children born to them.

Danny graduated from Tuttle High School in 1969. Throughout his lifetime, Danny was an avid hunter and loved fishing, camping, music, dancing and most of all, his family.

Dan was preceeded in death by both his parents, brother, Kenneth McKinney, and sisters, Wanda Henson and Betty Caves.

He is survived by his wife Billie of the home, daughter Amy Snow and her husband, Earl, of Enid, step-daughters, Brooke and Blair, and step-son, Brandon, brother, Donal Ray McKinney, and wife, Claude, of Tuttle, two sisters, Lanorma Canary of Newcastle and JoAnn Wakefield and husband, LG, of Tuttle, 11 grandchildren, Sarah, Sami, Matt, Lisa, Dalton, Dakota, Dillin, Taylor, Jared, Jacob and Preston and many nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends.

Danny had a love for life that was unlike most. He had an amazing smile and had a way of making you feel very special. I was lucky to have been able to call him "Daddy.”

Danny was laid to rest Saturday, Jan. 23 at Fairview Cemetery.

Thank you to everyone who brought food, sent flowers and for keeping our family in your prayers.
