VIRGIL RAYMOND ARMSTRONG
Funeral services for Virgil Raymond Armstrong, 84 of Minco were held Tuesday, March 20, 2007, 2 p.m. at Cogar Methodist Church with Rev. Bob Metcalfe and Rev. Kent Wood with burial in Evergreen Cemetery, Minco, OK under the direction of Huber-Reynolds Funeral Home of Minco.
Virgil Raymond Armstrong was born October 31, 1922 at Minco, OK to Rolla Bliss and Mary Anna (Morrison) Armstrong and died March 17, 2007 at Parkview Hospital in El Reno, OK.
Virgil was a lifetime resident of Minco and a 1940 graduate of Minco High School. He was a farmer and a member of the Cogar Methodist Church, Minco Rodeo Club and a charter member of the Minco Trail Riders. Virgil was selected as the Caddo County REA Family Farmer of the month and selected as Minco High School Fan of the Year in 2004. Virgil married Wanetta Marrow on November 4, 1946 at Wellington, Kansas.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters: Mary Brewington and Alice Erwin; brothers: Maurice “Curly”, Elmo “Red”, Joe, Jack, and Robert Armstrong.
He is survived by his wife: Wanetta Armstrong of the home; daughters and son-in-law: Rita Croney and Sarah Rumley and husband Orville all of Minco; six grandchildren and their spouses: Jeff Croney of Minco, Michelle Booher and husband Clay of Piedmont, Jason Croney and his wife Amanda of Minco, Rusty Rumley of Norman, Nancy Rumley of Manhatten, Kansas, and Randy Rumley of Minco; four great-grandchildren: Zachery and Jennifer Croney of Minco and Tyler and Kelsey Meier of Piedmont.

Funeral services for Lucille F. Page, 89, of Tuttle, Oklahoma were held at 10:00 a.m., Friday March 16, 2007 at the Heritage Family Church in Tuttle. A graveside service was held at 4:00 p.m. at the Cherokee Cemetery, Cherokee, Oklahoma.
Lucille F. Page was born November 21, 1917 in Vibbard, Ray County, Missouri the tenth child of George and Pearl (Keller) Hartman and died Tuesday, March 13, 2007 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
The family moved to Kansas, then Amorita, Oklahoma when she was about four years old. She attended school in Amorita, Driftwood and Ingersol, Oklahoma. In 1931 at the age of 16, she married William ‘Bill’ Page, and they lived in the Byron, Oklahoma area, but later moved to their farm west of Jet, Oklahoma. Lucille and Bill lived on the farm near Jet for several years and Bill’s widowed mother lived with them. Their farm was often the place where Lucille’s family gathered for different occasions. In 1967 they moved to Cherokee but continued to farm the old Pell land south of Cherokee which they owned. Lucille worked at the Cherokee Hospital and the Manor Nursing Home for several years. Bill died of cancer in 1980. Lucille continued to live in her home in Cherokee, which was the ‘gathering place’ for numerous family members throughout the years, especially on Memorial Day weekends. In 1996 Lucille sold her home in Cherokee and moved to Tuttle near her daughter, Pat and family.
Lucille was preceded in death by: Her husband: William Page; one son: Billy; Infant daughter: Mary Alice; nine brothers and sisters.
Survivors include: One daughter: Pat Henderson and husband Terry of Tuttle; one sister: Anna Belle Underwood of Liberal, Kansas; Grandchildren: Larry & Lisa Frey, Robin Frey, and Taylor & Aimee Henderson; five great grandchildren: Brandy, Jade, Andrew, Caden and Cydnee; two great great grandchildren: Hayley and Evelyn; numerous nieces, nephews and lots of friends.
Interment was held at the Cherokee Cemetery, Cherokee, Oklahoma under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home of Tuttle.
