THOMAS E. BOBIER, JR.
Graveside service for Thomas E. Bobier, Jr., 90, of Tuttle, Oklahoma was held at 11:00 am, Monday, April 2, 2007 at the Fairview Cemetery, Tuttle.
Thomas E. Bobier, Jr. was born January 13, 1917 in Oklahoma City the son of Thomas E. and Roxie Bobier and died Friday, March 30, 2007 in Tuttle, Oklahoma.
Mr. Bobier lived in Tuttle most of his life. He had worked for Armour Company before serving in the U.S. Army for four years during World War II. He then farmed in the Tuttle area and had worked for the Daily Oklahoman and the Chickasha Express newspapers. He also worked doing Right of Way Acquisition for pipelines.
His wife Mary Ellen “Pete” Bobier preceded him in death March 3, 1999. His brother Jack and sisters Margaret Bobier and Juanita McElhaney also preceded him in death.
Survivors include: One son: Bart Bobier and wife Linda of Tuttle; Two grandchildren: Andrea Lyn Frost and husband Scott, Lindsay Arin Haywood and husband Shawn; Four great grandchildren: Max Frost, Sam Frost, Reese Frost and Hunter Haywood; One brother: Joe Bobier and many nieces and nephews.
Interment was in the Fairview Cemetery, Tuttle, under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home.
JAMES “JIM” LUTHER HESS
Graveside services for James “Jim” Luther Hess, 74, of Tuttle, Oklahoma were held at 3:30 pm Friday, March 30, 2007 at the Fairview Cemetery, Tuttle.
James (Jim) Luther Hess was born May 24, 1932 and died Wednesday, March 28, 2007 in Tuttle. Mr. Hess was a self-employed carpenter.
He was preceded in death by: One grandson: Damon Hess
Survivors include: One son: David Hess and wife Tracie; Two daughters: Diane Hess, Dorene Hess; One grandson: Cye Hess; Special friends: Larry and Lou South, Jean Ransome, Clifford Holsey, Bill and Pam White and daughters, Macye and Allyson, Scott and Ursula South and sons, Travis and Garren Sneed, Jaxon South, Gilman Burris, Jesse and Deanna Beatty, Bobby and Linda Holsey, Tommy Joe Chester, Terry Brown, Don and Jenny Williams, and Oklahoma County Hospice Lana and Terri.
Interment was in the Fairview Cemetery, Tuttle, under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home of Tuttle.
BUFORD DEAN McDANIEL
Funeral services for Buford Dean McDaniel, 80 of Minco were held Tuesday, April 3, 2007, 10 am at the First Baptist Church of Minco with Rev. Curtis Robertson of the Canaan Baptist Church officiating.
Buford Dean McDaniel was born October 6, 1926 at Cogar to J.J. and Chloie (Weems) McDaniel and died Sunday, April 1, 2007 at Clinton.
Mr. McDaniel was raised in the Cogar Minco area and was a member of the Canaan Baptist Church. He served as a Sgt. in the United States Army during WWII and married Dorothy Jean (Gibbons) on July 4, 1948 in Minco.
Mr. McDaniel was preceded in death by: Parents; Son: Gar Dan McDaniel and Wife: Dorothy Jean McDaniel on 1-7-05; One brother: Ralph McDaniel.
He is survived by: One son and daughter-in-law: Joe and Joyce McDaniel of Minco; One daughter and son-in-law: Janet and Eddie Morrison of Yukon; Two brothers and sisters-in-law: John and Jane McDaniel of Minco, Hugh and Bernice McDaniel of Scott City, Kansas; Four sisters and two brothers-in-law: Maxine Hoffman of Prague, Rose Moss of Chickasha, Bernice and Marvin Koerner of Pocasset and Edith and Jerry Verser of Chickasha; Seven grandchildren: Jason, Josh and Wesley Morrison; Michael, Steven, Justin and Jonathan McDaniel; Nine great grandchildren: Bailea, Lane, Audrie, Hunter and Taylor Morrison; Lauren McDaniel; Blake, Morrison, Madison and Delany Anderson.
Burial in Evergreen Cemetery of Minco under the direction of Huber-Reynolds Funeral Home of Minco.
JERALD DOUGLAS OAKLEY
Graveside services for Jerald Douglas Oakley, 64 former Frederick resident, were held on Saturday, March 31, 2007, 2 pm at the Evergreen Cemetery in Minco with Rev. David Mercer officiating under the direction of Huber-Reynolds Funeral Home of Minco.
Jerald Douglas Oakley was born May 1, 1942 at Frederick to John H. and Juletta (Pilcher) Oakley and died Monday, March 26, 2007 at VA Medical Center in OKC. He grew up in Hollister, Oklahoma moved to Frederick as a senior and graduated from Frederick High School in 1960. He joined the United States Navy and served in Vietnam. Jerald later made his home in the Dallas area and worked as a custom carpenter for many years. He most recently moved to OKC and Yukon area and was a 32nd degree Mason.
Jerald was preceded in death by his father: John H. Oakley and a brother-in-law: Glen Ellis.
He is survived by: His mother Juletta Oakley of Minco; One daughter: Audra E. Oakley of Dallas; Two sisters: Janet and Larry Gossett of Minco and Judy B. Ellis of Oklahoma City; Three nieces and one nephew.
DELBERT MARTIN ROWE
Wake services for Delbert Martin Rowe, 93 of Minco were held Wednesday, April 4, 2007, 7 pm at St. Josephs Catholic Church in Union City. Mass services will be held on Thursday, April 5, 2007, 1 pm at St. Josephs Catholic Church in Union City with Rev. Francis Nguyen of the church officiating.
Delbert Martin Rowe was born August 15, 1913 at El Reno to Delbert Francis and Lucy (Harper) Rowe and died Monday, April 2, 2007 at Chickasha.
Mr. Rowe graduated Minco High School in 1932, joined the United States Air Force and served in WWII. He married Margaret Elizabeth “Betty” Downey on December 17, 1937 at El Reno and was a Farmers Insurance Agent. He farmed most all of his life and was a member of St. Josephs Catholic Church in Union City. Mr. Rowe was a member of the El Reno VFW Post and the American Legion Post #215-Minco. He served on the Hazel Dell School Board and on the Minco election board for many years.
Mr. Rowe was preceded in death by: Parents: Delbert and Lucy Rowe; Wife: Betty on 5-15-2005; and one sister: Grace Rowe.
He is survived by: One brother: Dale Rowe of Pocasset; One sister: Marjorie Hurley of Minco; numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Burial in Evergreen Cemetery under the direction of Huber-Reynolds Funeral Home of Minco.
HERBERT G. STARKEY
Funeral services for Herbert G. Starkey, 93 of Minco will be held Thursday, April 5, 2007 10 am at the First Baptist Church of Minco with Jim Ross of the Minco Church of Christ officiating.
Herbert G. Starkey was born February 24, 1914 at Oklahoma City to Joseph James and Beatrice (Strever) Starkey and died Sunday, April 1, 2007 at his home in Minco.
Mr. Starkey attended school from 1st - 8th grade at Crooked Oak in East OKC, then went to Capitol Hill for 9th - 11th and graduated from Minco High School after his Senior year. He farmed all of his life. He served as a STAFF Sgt. in the United States Army Air Corps during WWII, he served from 8-3-1943 to 11-29-1945 and was stationed in New Guinea and Australia. Mr. Starkey was a member of the First Baptist Church of Minco and a member of the American Legion Minco Post #215.
Mr. Starkey was preceded in death by his parents J.J. and Beatrice Starkey; Three sisters: Grace Rowe, Hazel Malcom, and Elene Castillo.
He is survived by: One brother and sister-in-law: James and Betty Starkey of Minco; One brother-in-law: Dale Rowe of Pocasset; One sister: Lucille McComas of Chickasha and a host of nieces and nephews.
Burial in Evergreen Cemetery in Minco under the direction of Huber-Reynolds Funeral Home of Minco.
CONNIE SUE TINSLEY
Services for Connie Sue Tinsley, 59 of Bridgecreek were held on Saturday, March 31, 2007, 10 am at the Hazel Dell Baptist Church NW of Minco. Rev. Gary Journeycake of the Hazel Dell Baptist Church officiated.
Connie Sue Tinsley was born February 9, 1948 at Union City to Jay and Ruby (Neely) Brothers and died Wednesday, March 28, 2007 at Oklahoma City. She married Sam Tinsley on March 5, 1965 at Union City and lived in the Bridgecreek area since 1973. Connie was a member of the Hazel Dell Baptist Church and retired from Lucent Technologies.
Mrs. Tinsley was preceded in death by her parents: Jay and Ruby Neely; One brother: Rex Brothers; One sister: Letha Faye Shepherd.
She is survived by her husband Sam of the home; One son and daughter-in-law: Jerry and Charlotte Tinsley of Minco; Two brothers: Phillip Jay and Melinda Brothers of Asher, Ricky Eugene and Diane Brothers of Union City; Three sisters: Melinda Meyers of Minco, Betty J. Mosher of Mustang and Lena Fuller of Moore; Four grandchildren: Jereme Dwayne Tinsley, Kyle James Tinsley, Kendra Michele Tinsley and Sammy Joe Tinsley all of Minco.
Burial in Hazel Dell Cemetery under the direction of Huber-Reynolds Funeral Home of Minco.
