Graveside services for Dallas Ulman Davis, 84, of Minco were held on Tuesday, June 17 at the Evergreen Cemetery in Minco. Davis was born Jan. 19, 1924 in Minco to Ulman Seaborn and Ruby Alice (Stevens) Davis. He died on Saturday, June 14, 2008 at his home in Minco.
Davis was raised in Minco and was a graduate of Minco High School. He farmed for many years and was also a contractor and carpenter who owned and operated a package liquor store in Minco. He was a retired volunteer firefighter and a member of the carpenter’s union.
He married Eudena “Charlene” Morrisey on Oct. 3, 1955 in a ceremony in Minco.
Davis was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, Vera Irene Brackin, Retha Bates and Alice Jean Drew and a brother, Joe Davis.
He is survived by his wife Charlene of the home in Minco; a son Gary Davis of Rancho Cucamonga, Calif.; two daughters, Vicki and Charles Glover of Flowery Branch, Ga., and Tana and Gary Wax of Midwest City; two brothers and sisters-in-law, J. B. and Minnie Davis of Minco and Steve and Mary Lee Davis of Conroe, Texas; one sister, Ruby Ann Charlton of Eureka, Kan., four grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
