The Tuttle High School Student Council started this year off with the New Student Orientation which took place last Tuesday, August 7th. The Student Council members welcomed 19 new students and helped them to enroll. The new students also got a tour of the high school and learned where all their classes would be. Some STUCO members also took this time to make welcome bags filled with candy to give to the new students.
Last Monday the Student Council officers met to start planning for up coming events. "We got a lot accomplished," says one STUCO officer Sue Milam. "I think we will have a very successful year," said Camille Willyard, another officer.
The Student Council held the Teacher/Staff Appreciation breakfast last Wednesday, August 15th. . They had a random drawing and seven faculty members won gift bags full of much needed school supplies. STUCO would like to thank all the parents who contributed to the wonderful breakfast.
If any student has a suggestion for how STUCO can help the student body, please talk to one of the officers. Student Council is here for the students and would like to hear everyone's suggestions. We hope you all have a great school year!
