Wrestlers honored at OWCA banquet

  • Woods, Boles reign at THS
    Energy was in the air on Thursday, Jan. 21 as the Tigers hosted the Anadarko Warriors and crowned the 2010 Wrestling Homecoming King and Queen. Homecoming King Honors went to senior wrestler Shane Woods and Queen Honors to senior wrestling manager Janae Boles.

  • Tigers win dual matches
    The Tiger Wrestling Team hosted the Tecumseh Savages and the Harrah Panthers for a double dual last week. From the beginning of the first whistle, the Tigers dominating power was evident as one bout after another revealed their opponents were no match for the Tigers.

  • Ladies in Kingfisher tourney
    he Tuttle High SchoolLady Tigers will take on Bethany 10:30 a.m. Thursday in the Wheat Capital Classic held at Kingfisher this weekend. 
    "It is a tough tournament with good competition. I thought reaching the finals last year was a key turning point in our season,” Coach Johnny Vick said.

  • After shaky start, Tigers playing well
    After a slow start to the 2009-10 basketball campaign the Tuttle Tigers have righted the ship. Fresh off winning the Wellston Route 66 Shootout and a double overtime loss at highly rated Newcastle the Tigers are suddenly the team nobody wants to play.

  • Lady Tigers runners up at Wellston tournament
    The Tuttle Junior High Lady Tigers swept Lindsay last week, with the seventh, eighth and ninth graders all defeating their Lindsay opponents.
    The seventh grade Lady Tigers continue to roll, defeating Lindsay 38-16. Earlier in the week the Lady Tigers defeated Marlow and Kingfisher to capture first place in the Tuttle Tournament, bringing their conference wins to 12 in a row and making them one of the top teams in the conference. They will play at Washington this Thursday and at Marlow on Monday. 

  • Woods wins Geary crown
    The Geary Invitational is known as the oldest and the toughest tournament in the nation. With 66 years of competition history, the best wrestlers in Oklahoma and Texas compete for the title.

  • Jr. Lady Tigers at 10-1 after pasting Newcastle
    The Tuttle Junior High girl’s basketball team swept Newcastle this past Monday, with the seventh grade team improving it’s record to 10-1 by crushing the Lady Racers 39-6.

  • Lady Tigers start 2-2
    The Lady Tigers are off to a two and two start during the first two weeks of the season, with two of those losses coming at the hands of top 20 teams ( Blanchard and Newcastle).

  • Wrestlers fare well in Tulsa
    The Tulsa Mid American National hosted 28 teams from schools from across Oklahoma, Texas, and Kansas making the competition fierce. The Tigers brought home nine wrestlers with honors and placed in the top five of the team standings.

  • Tuttle meets its match; season over
    TUTTLE – Cody Richardson and Dakota Green ran right, left, and up the middle. They found creases, exploded through holes, raced by defenders – and they didn't stop until they'd reached the end zone. Five times.

  • Tigers look to complete 10-0 season at Santa Fe
    TUTTLE – All that's left for Tuttle in the regular season is perfection.
    Quarterback Tanner Koons ran for two touchdowns and threw for two more, and the Tuttle defense pitched its third shutout of the season here Friday, knocking off Anadarko, 31-0, and securing the District 3A-1 championship.

  • Stonebraker connects from 53 yards
    Tuttle kicker Bobby Stonebraker knew the game was well in hand. Tuttle led 28-0. That's why he was a bit surprised when the coaches sent him in to try a third quarter field goal.

  • Tigers take 6th in cross country
    Tuttle’s Boys Cross Country Team placed 6th overall at the 4A State Cross Country Competition on Saturday at Mitch Park in Edmond. This was the first cross country team to represent Tuttle in state competition more than two decades.

  • Tuttle moves close to district title
    Tuttle moved to within one win of its second consecutive District 3A-1 Championship by thumping Cache, 44-0, Friday night.
    Now all the Tigers have to do is beat either Anadarko (6-2) or Santa Fe South (2-6) to secure the title and two home playoff games.

  • Bridge Creek continues streak, beats Bombers
    BRIDGE CREEK – Ryan Spangler threw for four touchdowns and Blake Henderson ran for three Friday, lifting Bridge Creek to a key 46-28 district victory over Frederick.
    The win lifted the Bobcats to 7-1 overall and gave Bridge Creek its seventh consecutive win, a school record for most consecutive wins.

  • North American Grappling Association tournament

  • Cross-country team places fifth
    Tuttle Boy's Cross Country Team is headed to state competition after winning fifth place at the 4A West Regional Competition on Saturday in Norman.
    Only the top seven teams who placed at each of the Cross Country Regionals will advance to the State Competition.

  • Lady Tigers advance to semifinals
    OKALHOMA CITY – Tuttle scored four runs in the top of the thirteenth inning Monday to beat Fort Gibson 5-1 and advance to the semifinals of the 4A State Championship Fastpitch Tournament.
    Last year’s state finalists met up in Round One this year and the east-side Tigers were anxious to avenge last year’s 8-7 championship game loss and keep Tuttle from “three-peating.”
