Crooks, Conn united in marriage

The Tuttle Times

OKLAHOMA CITY Dena Renee Crooks and Bobby Ray Conn exchanged their marriage vows on Saturday, September 16, 2006 at 3 p.m.

The bride, daughter of Janice Crooks, graduated from Tuttle in 2002 and the University of Central Oklahoma earlier this year with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting, and is currently working in the insurance accounting department at MidFirst Bank.

The groom, son of Raymond and Kathy Conn, graduated from Bridge Creek in 2000, is a Sergeant of the United States Marine Corps, and is an electrical apprentice for Allstate Electric.

The couple was married at The Silver Pitcher in Oklahoma City with Gary Southerland, brother-in-law of the bride, officiating. The bride was dressed in a sequined, strapless, ivory gown while the groom wore his formal dress blue uniform decorated with ribbons and medals.

Attending as matron of honor and bridesmaids were Susan Cleburn, Mandy Clouse, and Stephanie Kramer, all friends of the bride. Best man and groomsmen were SSgt. Jeff Kramer, Sgt. Robert Cervantez, and LCpl. Brian Cripps, all fellow Marines. Madison Gray, niece of the groom, and Johnathon Kramer, godson of the bride and groom, served as flower girl and ring bearer.

The bride and groom exited the ceremony under a full eight-man sword detail to show off their rumba skills in their first dance to Frank Sinatra’s “It Had to be You.”

Upon returning from their honeymoon in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, the couple will make their home in Oklahoma City .
